For me hostess gifts is not about the money spent but the thought behind it. To really take into consideration the loves of the recipient is key. Of course there are a few showers that can be thrown by your moms friends and you may not have the slightest clue to their loves, but I have that covered too.

For the organizer at heart or for the friend that needs to be that way. I Heart Lists letterpress is a perfect gift that encompasses beauty and practicality. Adding your favorite pen or a pretty pencil would make this gift extremely affordable coming in under $10.

How about a simple petite vase filled with flowers for the hostesses you may not have a personal relationship with or those showers that have an extreme amount of hostesses. I recieved this from a friend who I hosted a baby shower for and I still love it. Again, this gift comes in under $10.

Then you have the showers thrown by your best of friends. A book that fits each friends personality would be something they can have for the long haul. For the baker, for the gardener, for the design junkie. Inscribing each book with a heart felt note would make it all the better. This gift can be as cheap or as expensive as you choose.

I used their personalized stemless wine and highball glasses for couples shower hostess gifts. When I ordered them from Wedding Etc. (this was 2 years ago) they were a set of 4 stemless wine for around $20 and $25 for the highball set.

Easter is on its way

My Wedding Inspiration....finally

So...here it is...the first stab at an inspiration board for my fall wedding. It was a lot harder to put together than I thought it would be! As you can see from the board, I'm hoping to use chocolate brown as my main color. This board is for the ceremony...and soon, I hope to tackle one for the reception. What do you think? Any suggestions??

Is it Summer Yet??

I don't know about you, but I am so ready for warm weather to get here! I thought spring was supposed to be on its way at least...and now I hear that tomorrow it may snow in Alabama...again! The table decor in this image from Martha Stewart has me longing for summer and the Farmer's Market. I love this non-traditional way to decorate your dinner table for a party. And, the best thing about using food to decorate is that you can use it for your next meal instead of tossing them in the trash like flowers!
